Our Story

Our path to owning a towing company was anything but traditional.

Daniel studied pre-med in college with plans of becoming a doctor. Claire studied history and education and went on to teach high school. After several years in the classroom, Claire moved to Seattle, where she met Daniel while he was working for a local towing company.

We fell in love, dated for two years, got engaged, and then took a leap of faith. Before we were even married, we launched Frank's Towing & Recovery together.

Neither of us originally planned on a career in towing. Looking back, though, every step of the journey led us here. Daniel's college job as a dispatcher introduced him to the industry, and a ride along in a tow truck sparked a passion for helping people during some of their most stressful moments. The opportunity to build something of our own while serving our community was impossible to ignore.

Through every challenge and opportunity, we have trusted God's plan. Today, we cannot imagine doing anything else. We love serving our community, working side by side, and building a business grounded in faith, integrity, and purpose.

Frank's Towing & Recovery provides a full range of towing and roadside assistance services throughout the greater Seattle area, including towing, lockouts, jump starts, tire changes, vehicle recoveries and winch outs, vehicle transport, and roadside assistance.

One question we hear often is, "Who is Frank?"

Frank is our 75-pound pit bull and the inspiration behind our company name. He represents the spirit we try to bring to every interaction: loyal, friendly, dependable, and always happy to help.

Daniel has spent more than a decade in the towing industry. He began as a dispatcher before becoming a tow operator and eventually co-founding Frank's Towing & Recovery. Today, he serves as co-owner and lead operator, handling everything from roadside assistance calls to complex vehicle recoveries.

Claire serves as co-owner and business manager, but her role extends far beyond the office. Whether coordinating operations, meeting with community partners, or assisting on calls, she remains actively involved in every aspect of the business. As a former educator and a woman working in a traditionally male dominated industry, she brings a unique perspective to entrepreneurship, leadership, and community engagement.

Community involvement is one of the most rewarding parts of our work. We have proudly supported our local Best Buddies chapter for the past three years, participated in community events including local Christmas parades and the Special Olympics Polar Plunge, hosted neighborhood picnics, and built strong relationships with local law enforcement and fire departments.

We are also passionate advocates for Washington's Slow Down, Move Over law. Most drivers do not realize how dangerous roadside work can be. Tow operators work in one of the nation's most dangerous professions, facing significant risks every time they respond to incidents along busy roadways. Every roadside worker deserves to return home safely at the end of their shift. Through education, community outreach, and social media awareness campaigns, we work to remind drivers to slow down and move over for emergency responders, tow operators, and roadside workers.

What sets Frank's Towing & Recovery apart is not just the services we provide. We are a husband and wife owned business built from the ground up by two people from very different backgrounds who share a commitment to serving others, strengthening our community, and operating with faith and purpose.
